Details: **Position:** Veterinary Assistant **Department:** Animal Healthcare Services **Location:** Farm, Veterinary Clinic, Animal Hospital #### **Job Summary** A Veterinary Assistant supports veterinarians in providing medical care and treatment to animals. The role involves assisting with animal handling, maintaining cleanliness, preparing equipment, administering basic care, and ensuring the well-being of livestock and pets. #### **Key Responsibilities** * Assist veterinarians during animal examinations and treatments. * Handle and restrain animals safely during procedures. * Monitor animal health and report any abnormalities. * Maintain records of animal treatments and vaccinations. * Clean and disinfect animal housing areas, cages, and equipment. * Assist in feeding, grooming, and caring for animals. * Prepare medicines, instruments, and treatment rooms. * Support vaccination and disease prevention programs. * Educate animal owners on proper animal care and hygiene. #### **Required Qualification** * 10th / 12th Pass. * Diploma or Certificate in Veterinary Assistant / Animal Husbandry (Preferred). * Basic knowledge of animal health and welfare. #### **Skills Required** * Animal handling and care skills. * Good communication and teamwork abilities. * Physical fitness and willingness to work with animals. * Basic record-keeping and observation skills. #### **Experience** * Freshers and experienced candidates can apply. #### **Salary** * ₹25,000 – ₹35,000 per month (Based on qualification and experience). **Career Opportunities:** Veterinary Clinics, Animal Hospitals, Dairy Farms, Poultry Farms, Livestock Farms, Animal Welfare Organizations, and Government Animal Husbandry Departments.
